Sledge Hockey

The Seeker sent me this video, and I thought I'd post it for all to see.

It's a bunch of kids with physical disabilities who play sledge hockey for the "Mighty Penguins". Who knows, maybe some of these kids will go on to compete at the Paralympic Games in 10-15 years...

There needs to be more programs like this for people with disabilities...

I'll always have a soft spot in my heart for handicapped kids...that's why I volunteer for the local Special Olympics and Skate Night once a week for the local MH-MR (they close the ice rink one night a week to host a free open skate for handicapped kids).

Good for you :)

It's always nice to hear about programs for kids with disabilities because it's so easy for them to feel 'un-normal' in a world full of seemingly normal people.
