Hockey Commercial 21: Oops, I slipped

Flashback to the 1990's. It's Gretzky and Messier, reuniting to play a game of chess. Good stuff.

By the way, I apologize for not responding to comments left in the last few days. Unfortunately, Winter Break = dial-up internet. I'm lucky if I can get access to this website at all, and Explorer doesn't seem to want to let me into the comments pages. At least I can still read them through my e-mail.

Tonight: Montreal....Pittsburgh....RDS....I can hear it now - "Le tir, et LE BUT!!!" Hopefully it will be directed at the Pens because I'd very much like to see Pittsburgh take that game. Montreal deserves a rest, don't you think?

Les Habitants scare the crap out of me right now. That's the one team I really don't want the Pens to see in the playoffs, even ahead of Ottawa.

I wonder what it'll be like for the game tonight. Sid didn't make the trip, so I'm sure there won't be the usual media swarm of a million reporters. With both teams coming off big comeback wins, I'll be interested to see if there's any letdown on the part of either team. I'm not anticipating anything because these are both very solid teams, but you never know.

Malkin has a nice shot to put some space between him and Ovechkin tonight, what with Ovechkin putting up the goose egg last night.

Just a bunch of random thoughts:

I hope you guys are watching this game, because it's friggin' great. Okay, I say that now because Gonchar just scored to put the Pens up 5-4...still 8:48 to go.

I completely agree that the Habs are insanely scary to face. Their chemistry...frig. If they continue on this path, I pity the teams they will face in the playoffs.

I had a conversation yesterday with someone and asked him who he thought would win the Stanley Cup, and he said the Canadiens. He may be a Habs fan, but I'm starting to believe that he may be on to something. If the Pens won't make it all the way, I hope the Habs do. It has been 15 years since the Cup came north, which is too long in my obviously biased opinion.

I don't know if you guys saw it on your TV feed but when Malkin scored, they showed this one guy in a white Crosby jersey standing up in a crowd of stunned Habs fans, clapping in each one of their faces, just to rub it in.

It's funny because they did a poll of RDS viewers and asked who they thought should win the Hart: Malkin, Kovalev, Ovechkin or Alfredsson. The winner? Kovalev with 36%(surprise surprise), then Ovechkin with about 32, Malkin with 27 and Alfredsson with 5%. Me thinks me sees a little bias in these results, but I guess that's what you get when you poll a group of French-Canadians, most being Canadiens fans.

Wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! Pens won! In yo face!

AND Flyers lose!!! AGAIN!!!!! :P

That fan in the Crosby jersey clapping in the Hab's fans faces is brave indeed. He'd be wearing my beer! lol

Philly lost! Looooseeerrrrsss!
I told Hubby to keep an eye on Kovie last night. But then, the entire Habs' team is on fire.

But so are the Pens! YAY!
